Original here
The Process Tonemapped RAW file on lowest setting in Photomatix 3 Opened in CS4. Bird and shadows cloned out on far left hand side. Original skyline overlaid (via Soft Light) with one of my own, cut, erased and fine tuned and then darkened. Seagull cloned and moved for compositional purposes. Warming filter x2 applied to rockfaces. Overall De-noised. Cropped to more Panoramic format. Sharpened and re-sized to 1280 pixels.
I have no clue what you did as I read through it...I would have to watch or take classes to understand one single thing you did. Nor do I know what Photomatix 3 is. But I do know this...what you did is just amazing Jonathan.
You know I`d teach you if I could but I see Sandie pointed you towards some Youtube tutorials somehwere, that`s not a bad place to learn some stuff actually Karen, follow them step by step and you`ll pick up as you go along. I learnt everything I know from magazines and videos.
Thanks
Photomatix 3 is a HDR editing program btw >>> [link]
Jonathan what magazines did you try. I was thinking of going and buying one of those CS5 books for dummies, LOL! No seriously I may go wander around the bookstore tomorrow to try and see if I can understand one or two.
Most of the tutorials and tips I`ve got have been through the monthly magazines I buy Karen, been having them for nearly 4 years now Never bought any of those books but you should def check them out, some kind of classes if there were such a thing near you would be great too...I agree with what you said,it`s much easier if someone is physically there to hold your hand and guide you through it Check those books out though at the very least.
I keep wanting to hit a like button. I get my FB & DA mixed up. Damn I like hitting a like button. I will and I am going to go online and see if one of the local community colleges have a class that is not horrible expensive. On another note...will read and get back to soon. I just got a great new book and I am off the net to go read...hugs and good night.
