My maiden submission with the 40D,which I`m still playing around with and trying to gently prise myself out of Automatic mode
Love the "feel" of this Cam but it`s not the Big leap I was expecting (in JPG image quality at least) from my lil ol £150 Digi cam,but I`ve still to shoot Raw or use a Tripod or try any HDR,so there`s still time for me to blown away perhaps.
wow, love it! Beautiful contrast between the "dead" mountain and the green fields. And then we see this tree in the mountainside that refuse to surrender. It's indeed a warrior.

That view with the tree in the foreground is spectacular! In fact, the composition of this shot is what I like best about it with the subject coming a close second. Great tones and contrasts, I say, and for a and held shot it sure is pin sharp You must have nerves of steel I thought this was an HDR because of the tones. For what it's worth, I can see the difference in cameras
Good start jonny. But hey, don't get too disappointed with the camera yet. The features on that cam should give you a lot more possibility's for creative photography and as far as I experienced having a dslr opens up a lot of new ways to work. And hey - it's a lot of fun, and thats what it's all about.
Hm...by the way, later on I think I'll give it a try to talk you into trying out some IR.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
